Biography Mahmuda Islam, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Islam completed her medical degree at Sher-E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital in Bangladesh. She completed internal medicine residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She later became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians through UT Southwestern Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Islam joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014. Dr. Islam is the Course Director of Hospital Medicine Grand Rounds. Dr. Islam is on several committees at Parkland Health and Hospital System where she is a hospitalist. Personal Note Outside of medicine, Dr. Islam loves outdoor activities, running, gardening, reading, and spending time with family.
