Biography

Dr. John is a fellowship trained and board certified palliative care specialist with a primary specialty in Internal Medicine. She received her fellowship training at the Lombardi Cancer Center, an NCCN site at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC. She then worked as a palliative care consultant at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey prior to her arrival at UTSW. Dr. John has strong interests in clinical didactics and in promoting patient centered care.  She has a passion for the humanities and tries to integrate into her professional as well as personal life through travelling and reading. Top favorite books include Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist and Yann Martel’s Life of Pi.
