Biography Roma Mehta, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Originally from Tampa, FL, Dr. Mehta holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she graduated summa cum laude, and completed her medical degree at the University of Miami. She completed internal medicine residency training at UTSW Medical Center and completed advanced training through a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UTSW Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Mehta joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2020. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Mehta is the cochair of the Lung Ladies Advocacy Group. She is also the Medical Director of the MICU APP group and Assistant MICU Director at Clements University Hospital. Personal Note Dr. Mehta’s interests outside of medicine include Bollywood dancing as a BollyX Instructor, traveling, reading, and listening to true crime and finance podcasts.
