Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She then completed her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing residency, Dr. Gaines was a pediatric hospitalist for one year at All Children’s Hospital at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. She then moved to Houston, Texas and completed a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. After completing fellowship, Dr. Gaines began her career as a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Children’s Health Dallas and Plano. She is now an assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern.
