Biography Marconi Abreu, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Endocrinology. He serves as Medical Director of the Parkland General Endocrinology Clinic. Originally from Salvador, Brazil, Dr. Abreu earned his medical degree at the Universidade Federal da Bahia in Brazil. He completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Connecticut in Mansfield, where served as Chief Resident. He then obtained advanced training through a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at UT Southwestern. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, Dr. Abreu joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Abreu serves on the Compliance and Billing Committee, as well as the Diabetes Advisory Board. Dr. Abreu is a member of the American Diabetes Association. Personal Note His interests outside of medicine include cooking, traveling playing the guitar, and following the stock market.
