  • Biography

    Sadia Ali, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Endocrinology. She serves as Chief of the Inpatient Endocrinology and Metabolism Service at Parkland Hospital and is a member of the hospital’s glycemic management team.

    Dr. Ali earned her medical degree at Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan. She completed internal medicine residency training and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio. She later earned a Health Care Management Executive master's in business administration at UT Dallas.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Ali joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2012.

    A general endocrinologist, Dr. Ali specializes in diabetes; thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary disorders; osteoporosis and other bone diseases caused by metabolic conditions.

    Dr. Ali is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, among other professional organizations.

    In 2019, Dr. Ali was named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor Rising Star. She was also included in D Magazine's Best Doctors list numerous times. Additionally, her honors include winning the National Clinical Vignette Abstract Competition at the 2008 American College of Physicians Annual Meeting.
