Biography

Vatsala Goyal, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Originally from Dehradun, India, Dr. Goyal holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and cell biology from Rice University in Houston. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Goyal joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Goyal is a member of the Supporting Women Achieving Greatness (SWAG) Committee, the Internal Medicine Clerkship Grade Evaluation Committee, the Resident/Medical Student Involvement Committee, and the CUH Hospitalist Grand Rounds Committee.

Dr. Goyal is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.

Personal Note

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and reading.
