  • Biography

    Julie Mirpuri Hathiramani, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Board certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine, she officially joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010.

    A physician-scientist, Dr. Mirpuri focuses her research efforts on neonatal microbiome development with a goal of developing novel therapies to improve the health of babies.

    She earned her medical degree at the University of Hong Kong. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Goryeb Children’s Hospital – Atlantic Health, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Memorial Hospital.

    Dr. Mirpuri, part of the UT Southwestern Pediatric Group, practices at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health.
