Biography Kim Styrvoky, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and member of its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Her clinical interests include lung nodules, robotic assisted bronchoscopy, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy and pleural diseases. Dr. Styrvoky holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and history from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she graduated summa cum laude in honor's studies. She earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and completed residency training in internal medicine at UT Southwestern, where she also received advanced training through a fellowship program in pulmonary and critical care medicine followed by training in interventional pulmonary. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2016. She is a Diplomate of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. Dr. Styrvoky serves as the Medical Director of Interventional Pulmonology at UT Southwestern, Medical Directors of Bronchoscopy and Lung Diagnostics Clinic at Parkland Health. She has published numerous academic articles and delivered several invited lectures on topics in her areas of expertise. She is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of the American Thoracic Society, American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, Women in Interventional Pulmonology, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society.
