Biography

Rashmi Arora, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of the Division of Rheumatic Diseases.

Originally from India, Dr. Arora received her medical degree from SMS Medical College and completed internal medicine residency training at Michigan State University in East Lansing and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She then stayed at Louisiana State University to complete advanced training through a fellowship in rheumatology. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in rheumatology, Dr. Arora joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010. She currently serves as a Staff Physician at VA North Texas Health Care System. 

Dr. Arora's research interests include veterans and rheumatology. She is the co-author of several recent studies and clinical trials.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Arora is involved in the Performance Measures Committee and the QI Committee. She is also involved in medical school and graduate school didactic teaching, as well as small group teaching. She works to supervise internal medicine residents and rheumatology fellows through continuing medical education in Rheumatology clinics.

Dr. Arora is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology.
