Biography David P. Chason, M.D., FACR, is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Neuroradiology Division. He also serves as the Chief of Neuroradiology at Parkland Health & Hospital System. His clinical interest include teaching and performing image-guided spine interventions, computed tomography imaging of trauma patients. Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 1992, he was an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. His research interests include CT angiography, medical physics, image-guided interventional spine procedures, and adult and trauma neuroradiology and the 3D printing of spine and vascular models for use in the training of image-guided procedures. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Chason serves on many committees in the area of radiology education, research and quality improvement. He is an active member of numerous national and international organizations, including the Radiological society of North America, American Society of Spine Radiology, Association of University Radiologists, Association of Program Directors in Radiology, and the North American Spine Society. He is also a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and a Fellow of the American College of Radiology.
