Claire Jensen completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearne and earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She attended residency at Wayne State University/ Detroit Receiving Hospital, specializing in Emergency Medicine and then accepted a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Currently, Dr. Jensen is a full-time Attending at Parkland Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department, as well as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. A clinical interest of Dr. Jensen is moving Palliative Care upstream to the Emergency Department to address symptom needs and goals at the time the patient is first presented to the hopsital.
